These promotional materials are for the launch of a new graphic arts exhibition centred around visual ephemera of Indian fireworks design and packaging. The exhibition explores their nuances and visual storytelling as well as showing how the designs have evolved in order to stay relevant.

To answer this brief the exhibition posters reimagine the typographies of Indian fireworks packaging. As a playful twist the design expresses emotions from childhood rendered using stylized Devanagari lettering. The bright colours and type draw inspiration from spherical bullet bombs, twisting snake cakes and narrow sparklers packaging and distill it into a cohesive modern approach.
